2026 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Launched - Price From 5.70 Lakh - Explained All Changes, Spec, Features & More

Hyundai has launched the updated Ioniq 5 priced at Rs 55.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with cosmetic updates, new features and crucially, a larger battery pack. The Ioniq 5 is based on Hyundai’s Electric‑Global Modular Platform (E‑GMP). The 72.6 kWh battery pack has been replaced with a larger 84 kWh unit, which has an ARAI-certified range of up to 690 km. The new Ioniq 5 also gets a few cosmetic changes. The EV features redesigned front and rear bumpers with skid plates, a new rear spoiler, reworked LED headlamps and new sporty alloy wheels. The cabin has been updated with a new 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with interactive 4-dots pixel light and heating function, dual 12.3-inch displays and a redesigned wireless smartphone charging pad with integrated physical controls for heating and ventilated seats. The Ioniq 5 now comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, Controller Over-the-Air, Active Sound design, remote immobilisation via Hyundai Bluelink and a new in-car payment integration, allowing users to pay for EV charging directly via the infotainment screen. The Ioniq 5 also gets an upgraded safety suite, which includes Parking Collision Avoidance Assist (Rear) and Parking Distance Warning (Side).
