How Often Do We Feed Our Big Cats?

We don't feed our big cats every day… 👀 To ensure the best welfare for our cats here at the Sanctuary, we try to replicate their natural behaviours they would typically exhibit in the wild- one of those being how often they successfully hunt. Big cats, like lions, have evolved to be "gorge feeders", meaning they will go days without a meal and then eat up to 50kg in one sitting. 🤯 Our smaller cats like servals and lynx are different — more frequent hunters, so they eat daily.
