It’s Endangered Species Day, this is our most endangered cat at the Sanctuary… 🚨

In the 1990s around 30 Amur leopards were estimated to be left in the wild. Today, that number sits at around 110 to 120. That recovery is the result of protected land, patrolling rangers, and conservationists refusing to give up on a species on the brink. Our Amur leopards Luka and Leia are part of the European Endangered Species Programme, a carefully coordinated breeding network that acts as a genetic safety net for the species. You can play a part too.
