Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter. Located immediately after the Forbidden Forest, this spectacular recreation allows guests to experience the magical gateway between the Muggle and wizarding worlds just as Harry Potter did in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Visitors can pose with the famous disappearing luggage trolley as it vanishes through the brick wall before stepping onto the beautifully recreated platform. Here you'll find the original Hogwarts Express steam locomotive and authentic passenger carriage used during filming, complete with props and detailed interiors recreating memorable moments from across the Harry Potter film series. Guests can also enjoy a green screen experience, placing themselves aboard the train as they journey through the magical world, and browse the Railway Shop opposite for Platform 9¾ and Hogwarts Express themed merchandise. Platform 9¾ holds a special place in Harry Potter history, providing the backdrop for the very first scene filmed for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and, ten years later, the final scene filmed for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Although many platform scenes were filmed at London's King's Cross Station, the complete platform and train seen at the Studio Tour were recreated at Leavesden by the original filmmakers when the area opened as a permanent expansion in 2015. The Platform 9¾ experience forms part of the First Year at Hogwarts event, running from 7th May to 7th September 2026 and celebrating the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Throughout the Studio Tour, guests can discover original props, costumes, interactive displays, Wizard Chess pieces, Fluffy the three-headed dog, and special experiences inspired by Harry Potter's first year at Hogwarts. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter opened in 2012 at Leavesden Studios, where all eight Harry Potter films were produced. The attraction showcases authentic sets, costumes, props, creature effects, and filmmaking secrets from the Wizarding World. Similar Studio Tours can also be found in Tokyo and Hollywood. Leavesden Studios is also home to the upcoming HBO Harry Potter television series starring Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
