Description

How big is the Boeing Everett Factory? Well, the main assembly factory is bigger than Disneyland! The Boeing Everett Site, located in Washington state, is home to the guinness world record for largest manufacturing building in the world by volume. The main assembly buidlingg encompasses 472 million cubic feet of space and sits across some 98.3 acres. Disneyland could could fit inside the building and still have 12 acres spare for parking The Everett site was specially constructed in 1967 to manufacture the Queen of the Skies, the Boeing 747. Interestingly construction on the first factory was occurring around workers assembling the first Boeing 747-100. Today with over 35,0000 employees, the Everret site produces the 767, 777 and 787. Additionally, the mural printed onto the front of the factory’s six enormous doors cover over 100,000 square feet making them the largest digital graphics on earth!
