Bhitarkanika Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park is known as the Mini-Amazon of India. Lying on the coast of Bay of Bengal, it is the second largest Mangrove ecosystem of our country after Sundarbans. It is also the World's largest congregation of Salt Water Crocodiles. One can also witness Sangam of Brahmani & Baitarani rivers here. In this video you will see a tour of Bhitarkanika National Park.

Khola Jetty - We booked our private safari boat from here to Dangamal which cost us Rs 3000.
There are two types of boat safari:
Private boat which is green in colour.
Government boat which is blue in colour.
On the first day we hired a private boat for safari.
In between we saw Sangam of Brahmani & Baitarani rivers and also saw different sizes of Saltwater crocodiles too.

After doing crocodile sightseeing we reached Dangamal Jetty in the afternoon.
Here we had lunch and went for a nature trail through Semi-deciduous Forest.
There we spotted many deers and a few monitor lizards and in the evening we came back to Dangamal where we already booked our accomodation.

Dangamal Jetty - Next day we booked a government boat from here for safari and did crocodile sightseeing for a few hours.
Crocodile hatchery & rearing complex - This is a facility for breeding, raising, and conserving crocodiles. The main purpose is collecting eggs from the wild for artificial incubation to ensure higher survival rates.
Bhitarkanika Museum - This museum showcases the giant skeletons which are around 17 to 20 feet in size. Alongside they also display the other local wildlife like snakes, turtles, and deer to educate visitors.
Gupti - This is another gateway for Bhitarkanika jungle safari. It offers access to the core areas for boat rides and jungle stays, allowing visitors to experience this unique wetland ecosystem.
Pentha Sea Beach - This beach is one of the less-crowded white sandy shores of Odisha. This beac is one of the famous tourist spots of Odisha.
