Located directly opposite the Hogwarts Express within the Platform 9¾ area of the Studio Tour, this unique shop offers an extensive range of souvenirs, gifts, homeware, clothing, collectibles, sweets, and exclusive Wizarding World merchandise inspired by one of the most iconic locations in the Harry Potter series. The Railway Shop specialises in Platform 9¾ and Hogwarts Express merchandise, including luggage tags, travel accessories, clothing, stationery, mugs, ornaments, and railway-inspired souvenirs. Guests can also create their very own personalised Hogwarts acceptance letter, making for a memorable keepsake from their visit. A selection of Harry Potter character wands is also available alongside Chocolate Frogs, Peppermint Toads, and other wizarding treats perfect for the journey home. Many items sold here are exclusive to the Railway Shop and cannot be found elsewhere in the Studio Tour. Platform 9¾ first appeared in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone when Harry Potter entered the magical world and boarded the Hogwarts Express for the first time. Hidden within King's Cross Station, Platform 9¾ serves as the departure point for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Hogwarts Express became one of the most recognisable symbols of the Harry Potter series, carrying generations of students between London and Hogwarts and appearing in every film. The train provided the backdrop for the very first scene filmed for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and the final scene filmed for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. The Platform 9¾ area at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London opened in 2015 and features the original Hogwarts Express locomotive alongside authentic passenger carriages used during filming. Guests can board the train, explore recreated scenes from the films, and experience the magic of travelling to Hogwarts before visiting the Railway Shop. The Railway Shop forms part of the First Year at Hogwarts event, running from 7th May to 7th September 2026. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, the event features original props, costumes, interactive displays, Wizard Chess pieces, Fluffy the three-headed dog, and special experiences inspired by Harry Potter's first year at Hogwarts. Warner Bros. Studio Tour London opened in 2012 at Leavesden Studios, where all eight Harry Potter films were produced. The attraction showcases authentic sets, costumes, props, creature effects, and filmmaking secrets from the Wizarding World. Similar Studio Tours can also be found in Tokyo and Hollywood. Leavesden Studios is also home to the upcoming HBO Harry Potter television series starring Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.
