The cardboard had a purpose after all, pressed firmly into position. Ten minutes later, a full wardrobe change. Basuki and Kayan were wonderful to watch together, always naughty, playful, and full of life. When Kayan lost her mum, she had to be moved to Monkey World as she was still nursing, which was genuinely upsetting. After that, I did not see Basuki as often and I feel I let time slip by without filming him. I think I missed seeing him and Kayan together, and my focus slowly shifted towards the gorillas more and chimpanzees instead. Watching him now brings back a lot of memories, and a bit of regret too.
