New Toyota Hilux has been teased. The short clip subtly shows the lifestyle pickup’s front and rear ends, hinting at a modern design element. Based on global offerings, the new Hilux will get a changed face, which now looks more aggressive and futuristic. The overall silhouette looks similar from the side. The tail section could also receive minor revisions. The pickup continues to be a two-cab offering. Its cabin will get a radical change. Two 12.3-inch screens (instrument cluster and infotainment) will be part of the revised dashboard. The new infotainment screen, which is an upgrade from the erstwhile 7.8-inch unit, will also support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Powertrain-wise, we do not expect any change. With a 2.8-litre diesel motor that churns out 201bhp/500Nm (Automatic), it is the exact same setup as the Fortuner. However, the Hilux will also continue with a low-range transfer case for off-road scenarios.
