Description
LiveWire, the electric division of American company Harley-Davidson, didn't come empty-handed to the Milan Motorcycle Show, where it presented its latest electric models. The most tangible of these is undoubtedly the S4 Honcho (which means "big boss" in Spanish). Already unveiled in the United States during the summer, this small electric motorcycle aims to be a modern reinterpretation of a Honda Dax or a Yamaha Chappy. In other words, it's a compact vehicle designed for commuting, for everyday travel. At EICMA, the manufacturer is presenting its small motorcycle in two versions: "Trail" for off-road riding and "Street" for use on public roads. In both cases, the technical specifications remain the same. Only the equipment differs: knobby tires for the Trail and lights/turn signals for the Street. Last year at EICMA, LiveWire officially announced its industrial partnership with Kymco to develop a new range of electric two-wheelers. The LiveWire S4 is part of this partnership and incorporates some technologies developed by the Taiwanese group. For example, the two removable batteries, located under the seat, use Kymco's Ionex standard. LiveWire hasn't provided an official capacity figure, but based on the specifications previously announced by Kymco for this "standard pack," it would be 1.74 kWh per battery, for a total of 3.47 kWh.
