An absolute spectacle this Friday — Steve finally takes our 2S7 Pion out on the track for the first time, but he's not alone. We deploy a full lineup of Soviet and Chinese heavy armour for test runs: Master Milo's Type 69, the T-55, BMP-1 and T-72 all join the Pion out on the circuit. It's the closest thing to a Cold War armoured column you'll see in North Queensland. The 2S7 Pion is the world's largest full-tracked self-propelled gun, carrying a 203mm cannon on a chassis built from T-72 and T-80 components. After 12 years sitting idle and a dramatic revival involving 70 litres of excess oil, this is the moment it finally stretches its legs. Meanwhile the T-72 brings Cold War main battle tank firepower, the T-55 is one of the most produced tanks in history, Master Milo's Type 69 is a Chinese development of the T-54, and the BMP-1 rounds out the formation as one of the world's first infantry fighting vehicles. 🎟️ Want to ride in these vehicles?
