CKay, popularly known as "Africa's Boyfriend", combines his raw emotions with African rhythms to create a sound he calls "emo afrobeat".

He ran away from his parents’ house in Kaduna to Lagos, Nigeria at the age of 18 because they didn’t agree with his career choice. His drive, unique personality, style and music have garnered love and attention from fans and enthusiasts worldwide.
