INSIDE a SECRET HYPERCAR FACILITY! WORLD FIRST Access

We're venturing into the secret production and assembly facilities of a brand new hypercar, the Capricorn 01 Zagato! The manual, driver focused machine has just launched, and already the builds are under way so there's a lot to see. Plus, come along for the world first experience onboard! Capricorn are the automotive powerhouse that you will know of without realising it; responsible for countless motorsport success stories, endless components of some of our favourite road cars, and now creating their very first complete vehicle. In doing so, they've joined forces with Zagato, for whom this is also their first modern hypercar, so you already know it is something special. Based around a full carbon monocoque with front and rear carbon crash structures, and featuring the latest in 3d printed titanium and aluminium, it keeps weight to a mere 1,200kg. Simultaneously, there's a Ford derived 5.2l supercharged V8 producing 900hp and 1,000Nm, with 800Nm coming from just 1,500rpm on the way to the 8,500rpm redline. The gearbox raises intrigue, taking the form of a 5-speed dogleg gated manual from CIMA with the goal of truly engaging the driver. The design aims at timeless elegance, avoiding excessive spoilers and wings in favour of air management through the body and beneath it. For the interior the theme is followed with a classic elegance meeting modern focus; the seats are integrated in the tub with an adjustable steering column and pedal box, plus the ability to reposition the gearshift forward or rear by 80mm. Today we are visiting both Capricorn Group's facility with carbon fibre manufacturing and the engineering teams, as well as Capricorn Automotive to see the assembly line and further understand the car itself.
