Oz: Thunderstorms and downpours slowly track east this week

WA has a wintry change kicking in this week, but between that and milder airflows further to the east it will generate thunderstorms and slow moving downpours/rain which will slowly move eastwards as the week goes on. This heavy line of wet weather will also affect northern Tasmania. The cold southerly moving into southern WA today will take a number of days to move eastwards into SA, Vic, NSW and Tas as a large low forms over the Great Australian Bight. High pressure in the Tasman and Coral Sea areas will keep the easterly flow alive into Qld with eastern showers - and some of those inland thunderstorms will move into central and southern parts of Qld, along with southern parts of NT for a time.
