In Her 80s She Built This Promaster Herself — and Van Life Helped Her Ditch Her Cane

Subscribe: YouTube.com/@CheapRVliving Kate is in her 80s and she built out her Dodge Promaster 136 wheelbase van completely herself, turning it into a beautiful cabin on wheels she lovingly calls Zip. She has been RVing off and on for over 20 years, including time in a 32 foot motorhome, but downsized to the Promaster so she could get into places a larger rig never could, and she gets 17 to 18 MPG doing it. After surviving life threatening medical situations she was not sure she would make it through, Kate found that life on the road helped her stop using her cane and reduce her medications, and she is following up with her doctors to keep tabs on her progress. She says she does not feel alive until she gets in her van and after spending time with Kate it is impossible not to believe her completely. Zip is spacious, stunning, and a testament to what is possible at any age and in any season of life.
