For 2027, Ford is dropping the standard output 6.7 Power Stroke and moving exclusively to the High Output Power Stroke diesel moving forward. That means 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque now become the standard diesel setup in the F-250 and F-350 lineup. But that’s not the only change. Ford is also reportedly canning the 6.8L “Mini Godzilla” gas V8, which really shakes up the Super Duty engine lineup heading into 2027. So what does this mean for truck buyers? Higher capability? Higher cost? Better towing performance? Fewer affordable engine options?
