This is a preview of our System Assembler service, which will allow you to select one of our 1U, 2U, or 3U rackmount kits, and the populate it with your choice of PRL signal buffering modules, signal pass-through panels, and filler plates, to create a complete, custom system in minutes! The real-time preview loads tessellated 3D representations of your selected modules, which you can rotate and flip to get the I/Os where you want them, and then you can place them in the front, middle, or rear "slots" to build the system that exactly fits your application needs and budget. Once the preview matches what you need, press the Generate STEP Assembly button, and in 30-60 seconds you'll receive a fully parametric STEP assembly that you can drop into your higher level system assembly. The STEP model has the screw heads moved to the correct positions for mounting to the front and rear panels, and the mounting brackets, screws, and keps nuts for the middle positions. The exported model also includes a complete BOM so you can get the system quoted, either for DIY assembly, or for assembly and test at PRL before shipment. Everything is working today, but we're just working on optimizations to properly deduplicate the geometry in the model, accelerate STEP model generation, add some color to the components, and add decals to all the preview models. Possible future features include geometry collision detection/prevention, internal cabling, geometry fusing for custom front/rear panel generation, front/rear panel engraving, and automated shopping cart generation.
