Rematching Canada’s Biggest “K2 Mountain” Burger Challenge Thousands Have Failed!!

American professional eater Randy Santel vs Mrs. Riches' "K2 Mountain" Burger Challenge at Mrs. Riches Restaurant in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada!! After spending time celebrating Thanksgiving (2025) with my family and attempting a few St. Louis, Missouri metro area food challenges, @KatinaEatsKilos and I flew to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada for a few days, not too far from Spokane, Washington where we were heading to next. While in the Vancouver area, we each attempted two huge Canadian restaurant man vs food eating challenges. For my first challenge, we took the ferry over to Vancouver Island so I could rematch the massive "K2 Mountain" Canadian Double Cheeseburger Challenge at Mrs. Riches Restaurant in Nanaimo, which I failed previously back in June 2019. There is a one hour time limit, and I ran out of time with lots of healthy lettuce remaining, plus a few tomato slices. It was undefeated prior to my first try, but it had been beaten since then by Canadians @scotteats and @JoelHansen. It's technically a burger challenge, but there are only two 1 lb beef hamburger patties, each topped with deli ham slices and some bacon strips. There is a massive bread bun sliced up so there is a top, middle, and bottom bun. What makes the burger so ridiculous is that they randomly add over 1lb of flavorless, crisp lettuce, more than 1lb of onions, an unnecessary amount of pickles, plus way too many tomato slices for any of the burger to be enjoyable. The "K2 Mountain" Burger Challenge includes more than 2lbs of seasoned potato wedges, and there is a 60 minute time limit to finish everything. Fail and pay $90 CAD (~$65 USD) for the meal. Winners get the burger meal free plus a sweet T-shirt and a spot on Mrs. Riches' Wall of Fame!! Special thanks to all our friends who came up that Thursday to watch and meet us!!
