(Columbia River Road Trip): Hood River to Longview Washington

Heck Yeah! Today we're rolling out of Hood River, Oregon and heading down the mighty Columbia River — but first, we're climbing the hill above town to one of the most incredible museums I've ever walked through. The WAAAM Museum — that's the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum — and folks, this place is WORLD CLASS. Hangar after hangar packed with antique airplanes, classic cars, old motorcycles, tractors, and just about everything else with a motor. And here's the kicker — most of these planes and cars still RUN. We walk the hangars and take it all in. Then it's back on the road, following the Columbia River west along the interstates into Washington State, ending up in Longview at a truly unique spot — County Line Park. This little gem sits RIGHT on the Columbia River with RV sites just feet from the water. We watch the big ocean-going ships cruise by on their way to and from the ports along the river. You can't beat a front-row seat like this one. So grab your mushroom coffee and come along for the ride — backroads, world-class hangars, and big ships on the big river. Heck Yeah!
