Week in my life in the country side | Japan Diaries | Slow Living at Matcha Farm Hi friends 🤍 Thank you so much for patiently waiting for a new vlog. I had so much footage from the past weeks, and with traveling around Japan (and not always having the best WiFi), uploading everything took a little longer than usual. I’m so excited to finally start sharing the Japan Diaries with you. Max and I are spending a few months here during the harvest season. We started Nekohama a few years ago, and being back here, closer to the source, the farmers, and the entire process, honestly feels so special. Our mission has always been so much bigger than just serving matcha. It’s about supporting the farmers, protecting Japanese heritage, and honoring the craft and care that goes into every single harvest! Max was here for almost three months last year, and this time I decided to join him because long distance just isn’t it. I’ve always loved coming to Japan, but living here, even just for a few months, feels completely different, and I’m really curious to experience it in a different way. The hardest part about leaving home has definitely been leaving Katsu. We couldn’t bring him with us, but he’s staying with my parents in the countryside where he can run around freely all day (which honestly he is probably more happy to be than in my apartment in LA haha :) Excited to take you along, I would love to know what you want to see more of too… more food, more casual vlogs, more behind the scenes of the farms?
