We made our very first YouTube Play Button out of wood when we had just 1,000 subscribers… and turned it into a challenge. Our goal? Get the biggest creators in the world to sign it — including MrBeast. We started at VidSummit, collecting signatures from some of the most popular YouTubers on the planet. One by one, creators signed our DIY wooden play button and shared their memories of hitting 1,000 subscribers. But there was one signature we still needed… MrBeast. When we found out he wasn’t coming to VidSummit, we didn’t give up. Months later — after welcoming our baby boy and growing our channel to 12 MILLION subscribers — we headed to the 1 Billion Summit for another chance to meet him. We searched everywhere. We visited the MrBeast pop-up. We joined sessions. We collected even more legendary signatures. We even entered the Acts of Kindness challenge for a chance to meet him in person.
